BISMARCK — The Bismarck Marathon presented by MDU Resources will make donations to 28 different local organizations and charities, totaling $55,125.
These local charities applied for a donation, volunteered during race weekend in September, or are otherwise committed to supporting the Bismarck Marathon’s mission to benefit youth health and wellness in our community.
The following beneficiaries were selected to receive $5,000 from the Bismarck Marathon:
- BIO Girls
- CPABLE
- Heaven’s Helpers
- Missouri Valley Family YMCA
- Ronald McDonald Care Mobile
- Roughrider AmBUCS
- Youthworks
An additional donation of $5,000 will be made to the Bismarck Recreation Council Endowment and $1,000 to the Mandan Parks and Recreation Foundation.
“These contributions reflect our commitment to our community’s health and well-being and the important work these organizations do to further our mission of promoting a healthier Bismarck,” 2023 race co-director Josh Askvig said. “We are excited to see the positive impact these donations will have.”
Since 2007, the Bismarck Marathon has donated $387,090 and $145,550 in the last three years.
The Bismarck Marathon will recognize the selected beneficiaries on Tuesday, December 12 starting at noon inside the Brightside Room at MDU Resources (1200 W Century Ave Bismarck, ND 58503). Lunch will be provided and members of the media are invited to attend.
