The Bismarck Marathon broke multiple day-one of registration records on the first day of 2023. A record number of registrations for the Full Marathon, presented by MDU Resources Group Inc., and the Half Marathon, presented by Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
In addition, a record number of 11 states were represented on day 1, with runners coming from all corners of the country to participate in this highly anticipated event.
“We are thrilled to see such a strong turnout on the first day of registration,” said Josh Askvig co-race director of the Bismarck Marathon. “We are confident that it will be our best year yet, and we look forward to seeing all of the runners on race day.”
With a flat and fast course, the Bismarck Marathon is popular for runners looking to set personal bests or achieve their marathon goals. In addition to the race, the Bismarck Marathon also offers a variety of activities for runners and spectators, including a post-race pub crawl, and local vendors on site.
The Bismarck Marathon is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, committed to supporting local charities, specifically charities that benefit youth, health, and wellness. In 2022, the Bismarck Marathon made a donation of $31,350 to 35 local charitable organizations.
