🏃‍♂️ MORE THAN MILES: LYNN’S VISION FOR THE MARATHON RELAY

For Lynn Beiswanger, the Bismarck Marathon Relay is about more than running 26.2 miles, it’s about bringing people together.

This year, Lynn had a vision to grow the Marathon Relay by encouraging members of local faith communities to form teams and take on the challenge together.

His idea was simple: training for a marathon relay creates community. Teammates support one another, work toward a common goal and learn to push through difficult moments, lessons that extend far beyond race day.

Thanks in large part to Lynn’s efforts, a number of this year’s relay teams represent local places of worship, bringing people together through fitness, faith and a shared challenge.

When you see those teams out on the course Saturday, know there’s a pretty special story behind how many of them got there. 🙌🏼

Thank you, Lynn, for your efforts to grow the Bismarck Marathon Relay and use running as a way to bring our community closer together. ❤️🏁
